Water supply problems in Porus, environs

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says that customers served by the Porus Water Supply System in Manchester are experiencing a disruption in their water supply.
This disruption is as a result of electrical and mechanical problems at the facility.
As an interim measure, the NWC says it will truck water to the affected areas until full operations resume on January 15.
Areas impacted include Porus, Trinity, Red Berry, Comfort, Broadleaf, Royal Flat, Williamsfield, Land Settlement, Hanbury, Kendal, New Green, Ingleside, sections of Grey Ground, Grove Place, Tree Chains, Patrick Road, Gordon Road, Cypclair Close, Bonetto Crescent, Crest Haven, Melrose Place and Dorby.
