KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police is advising members of the public who normally traverse Ocean Boulevard in downtown Kingston that there will be road closures in the area starting tomorrow, August 3, until Sunday August 5.
The road closures will begin about 8:00am each day.
This is to facilitate rehearsals for the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) March Past, which will form part of the JCF’s official participation in the Jamaica 50 celebrations.
The March Past will be held on Sunday, August 5, and rehearsals will be held on Friday and Saturday.
The details are as follows:
Ocean Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic.
Vehicular traffic will not be allowed to enter Ocean Boulevard from its intersections with the following roads:
• Orange Street
• Church Street
• King Street
The Traffic Police says that personnel will be deployed along the roadway and motorists are being advised to obey their instructions.
