Woman kidnapped in central Manchester

MANDEVILLE, Manchester – A well-placed police source has confirmed reports of the kidnapping of a young woman in the Hatfield area of central Manchester early Tuesday.

The source said police investigators are not prepared to give details of their probe at this time because of the delicacy of the situation.

However, the police believe the incident may be related to a dispute involving criminal gangs.
