KINGSTON, Jamaica — Homicide detectives in the Kingston East Division are probing last night’s murder of a woman in the troubled Rockfort community.

The woman has not yet been identified. Police reports are that the woman was attacked and shot by armed thugs at her home on Sheffield Road.

This is the third homicide in Rockfort in the last two weeks. However, police say early investigations suggest the woman’s murder is not linked to the others as those took place in different sections of the community.
