Early bird registration for Sigma Run opens

EARLY bird registration for the 2019 Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run opened yesterday.

This will provide a special registration cost of $1,200 per individual participant for race day, which is set for Sunday, February 17, 2019, a release from Sagicor said.

Early bird registration will close on January 18, 2019, at which point full cost for registration will be $1,500.

The release said registration forms can be accessed online at sagicorsigmarun.com.

Meanwhile, Sagicor said preparations are already in high gear for the charity run, which attracts thousands of participants annually.

The Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run is the largest road race in the Caribbean and has accrued more than $350 million in donations for 30 beneficiaries since inception.

The event saw a record 26,519 registrants for the 2018 staging, raising $50 million for the Spanish Town Hospital's Neonatal Unit and St Christopher's School for Deaf.
