MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The body of five-year-old Aliyakay White was found in a water tank at her home in the community of Bethany, here, on Sunday.

Police reports are that she was found afloat in the water tank about 12:52 pm, reportedly only minutes after leaving out of her family members' sight.

Aliyakay was reportedly taken from the water tank and, after immediate attempts to revive her failed, she was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives attached to the Cottage Police Station in the Mile Gully area are investigating the matter.

The incident is reportedly being treated as a suspected drowning until a post-mortem is done to determine her cause of death.
