PRIME Minister Andrew Holness will pay an official working visit to Japan.

The visit will run from today to December 14, a brief statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said yesterday.

During his stay in Japan, the Holness is expected to have an imperial audience with Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino.

Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe is also expected to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Holness and host a dinner in his honour.

The official working visit comes as both leaders work to further deepen the 55 years of friendly relations between Japan and Jamaica, the Office of the Prime Minister said.
