NEW AIR JAMAICA BOARD

The interim board of directors for Air Jamaica met for the first time Monday at the airline's corporate headquarters at Harbour Street, Kingston. From left are: OK Melhado, Senator Noel Sloley, Keith Senior, chief restructuring officer Aubyn Hill, company secretary Merl Dundas, executive chairman Dr Vincent Lawrence, tourism director Paul Pennicook, Millicent Hughes, central bank governor Derick Latibeaudiere, and Port Authority president Noel Hylton. Minister of Finance Dr Omar Davies appointed the interim board on December 23 after the government took back full ownership of the national airline from the Gordon 'Butch' Stewart-led Air Jamaica Acquisition Group.
