NHF adds seven new drugs to individual benefits

SEVEN new drugs for the treatment of diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, epilepsy, major depression and vascular conditions have been added to the National Health Fund (NHF) individual benefits drug list.

These drugs cover the active ingredients Ezetimibe, Repaglinide, Clopidogrel, Montelukast, Divalproex Sodium and two combined preparations, Diosmin & Hesperidin and Atenolol & Chlorthalidone.

The subsidies being offered by the NHF cover 30 per cent to 50 per cent of the cost of the drugs.
