Church service to benefit boys' home, kids of slain police officers

MIAMI - The Jamaican Consulate in Miami will hold its annual Independence ecumenical church service on August 7 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, located at 401 SE Fifteenth Avenue.

The proceeds will go towards the Swift Purscell Boys' Home in St Mary and children of police officers killed in the line of duty.

The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, located at 401 SE Fifteenth Avenue, beginning at 4:00 pm.

Guest preacher will be Rev Oliver Daley, pastor of the Ridgemount United Church in Mandeville.
