UNFPA extends media awards deadline

Thursday, October 20, 2005

THE United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) says it is extending the deadline for the Caribbean Media Awards to October 21, following a number of "queries and strong interest from reporters."

The original deadline was October 15th. The theme of this year's awards ceremony, which will take place in Kingston on December 6, is "Gender Equality, Reproductive Health and the Millennium Development Goals."

The ceremony will take place in Kingston on December 6, and will recognise writers, editors and broadcasters for works published or broadcasted between September 16, 2004 and October 20, 2005 in print, radio or television.
