Cascade Primary gets 11 computers
Career & Education

Sunday, March 05, 2006

PORT ANTONIO, Portland - Computer classes at the Cascade Primary and Junior High School in Portland just got a little bit easier.
A group of past students recently donated 11 laptop computers to the institution.

In 2002, Wallen donated approximately 10 desk top computers to the school.

The donation, which was made recently by Herbert Wallen, Regional Director for Product Marketing at the Boeing Aircraft Company in Washington DC, in the United States, brings to 11 the number of computers serving the laboratory.

The principal of the school, Lydia Grapine, told JIS News that Wallen was also assisting the school to procure a multi-media projector to assist both teachers and students in the various subjects taught at the school.

Grapine noted that the computers would go a far way to enable the computer laboratory to provide quality training. She also pointed out that the institution planned to acquire related equipment, including video machines, DVDs, a laminating machine and Internet service to aid the teaching process.
