The St Ann police recovered five motor vehicles, believed to have been stolen, from the Moneague and Claremont areas of the parish on New Year's Eve.
One man has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the seizure.
The vehicles recovered are: a white 2004 Toyota Prado, registered 7008 EV; a grey 2002 Toyota Corolla sedan, 7953 ES; a grey 2002 Toyota Hiace minibus, 0536 DQ; a blue 1990 Volvo, 3939 AA; and a grey 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution, which was without registration plates.
St Ann Constabulary Communication Network officer, Corporal Stacy Hawkins, told the Observer the vehicles were recovered during an operation carried out between 9:00 pm on December 30 and 4:00 am on December 31 in the Moneague and Claremont areas of St Ann.
"The Prado and the Corolla were recovered from a yard in Lydford Park, while the minibus and the Mitsubishi were recovered from a yard on Main Street in Moneague," Hawkins said. "The Volvo was recovered from premises in Crescent Park in Moneague."
Hawkins said the vehicles appeared to have been tampered with.
They were removed to the Ocho Rios Police Station. The police are asking persons whose vehicles have been stolen to contact the Ocho Rios police to identify their vehicles.
Meanwhile, the man taken into custody is being questioned by the police.
