Shaw out of hospital, ordered to rest

Saturday, October 11, 2008

FINANCE Minister Audley Shaw left the University Hospital yesterday for home, where he is expected to rest for a few days before resuming work.

A release from the Ministry of Information yesterday said that Shaw left hospital in the afternoon "with a clean bill of health" from doctors at the institution who had been observing his condition since Wednesday.

"They advised the minister, however, to take some rest and to phase his return to work. He is expected to resume full duties by the middle of next week," the ministry said.

Shaw had been admitted to the Tony Thwaites Wing of the hospital since he fell ill while attending a meeting with Prime Minister Bruce Golding and other Cabinet colleagues.
