Logos Hope changes location to Newport West
Friday, March 19, 2010
THE world's largest floating book fair, Logos Hope, will today relocate to the berth at Newport West, Kingston.
The Caribbean Cement Company, over the last four weeks, accommodated the Logos Hope at its berth, during which more than 90,000 Jamaicans have boarded the ship.
However, it is relocating to Newport West in preparation for the arrival and unloading at the cement company's berth of a ship with a consignment of coal for the company.
Operators of Logos Hope, in a release, expressed appreciation to the cement company for allowing the ship to berth at its port and to the Newport West wharves for its willingness to offer its facility for the remainder of the stay of the ship.
The final day on which Jamaicans will be able to board the boat is Monday, March 22 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Visitors must use Gate No 2 at Newport West, and are asked to take along an identification card.
