FAMILY members and fans of international entertainer Memo 'Mr Mojo' Morgan of the reggae band Morgan Heritage were last night praying for his speedy recovery following news that the artiste has been hospitalised.

Morgan's brother and Morgan Heritage member Roy 'Gramps' Morgan, confirmed to the Jamaica Observer that on Wednesday night the artiste fell ill while working on the new Morgan Heritage album at the Circle House Studio owned by legendary reggae band Inner Circle in Miami, Florida.

"We were all in studio working on our new album and the workload just got hectic and he reported that he was not feeling well," said 'Gramps' Morgan.

"That was when we brought him to the hospital and he has been admitted and is now undergoing checks," Gramps told the Sunday Observer from Boston where Mojo was expected to perform at the Hot 97FM Boston anniversary show at the weekend.

According to the distraught 'Gramps', who was filling in for Mojo at the show, family members were keeping their fingers crossed and hoping for his brother's speedy recovery.

Anthony Turner, Mojo Morgan's publicist, said the artiste was on a promotional tour for the release of his single New Dawn featuring Peetah Morgan.

Morgan Heritage was formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artiste Denroy Morgan.

Other members of the group are Peter 'Peetah' Morgan, Una Morgan, and Nakhamyah 'Lukes' Morgan.
