Clarendon man shot dead in alleged shootout with police

NINETEEN-year-old Horace Vernal was shot dead during an alleged confrontation with police at Bucknor in Clarendon yesterday.
Police said about 5:40 pm, a patrol accosted a group of men who pulled guns and engaged them in a gun battle. When the shooting ended Vernal was found with gunshot wounds and taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other men escaped.
The Bureau of Special investigations is investigating
