Portmore man charged with illegal possession of ammunition

Police reported yesterday that it has charged 24-year-old Roshane Brown, otherwise called Toto, a garbage collector of Mary's Close, Watson Grove in Caymanas, St Catherine with illegal possession of ammunition.

The charges were laid on Saturday.

According to the Portmore police, a team was on patrol in Aires Close, Watson Grove about 6:20 am Saturday, when they saw Brown acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion. He was accosted and searched and five 9mm rounds of ammunition were found on his person. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Brown is scheduled to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, February 12.
