THE two men — including a Trinidadian — who were detained following the discovery of the remains of 13-year-old Shanoya Wray have now been charged with the teen's death.

Sanju Maharaj, 24, a citizen of Trinidad, and 19-year-old Lenardo Madden of Kingston were, on Sunday, charged with murder, accessory after the fact, and misprisoning of a felony.

The two men were arrested on July 20 after the skeletal remains of the teenager were found at a property on Whalley Close in St Andrew.

Wray reportedly went missing from home on Sunday, July 15, and five days later her remains were found.

Last week Thursday the Half-Way-Tree police reported that a forensic test had confirmed that the remains belong to Wray.
