Woman among 3 arrested after Boscobel ganja bust

POLICE assigned to the Area 2 Narcotics Division seized five pounds of ganja during an operation in Boscobel, St Mary, on Wednesday.

Three people, including a woman, have since been arrested and charged for the find.

Police said about 7:00 am lawmen were in the area when a shack was searched and the illegal drug was found in their possession. All three persons were subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of ganja and dealing in ganja.

They are:

• 51-year-old Jerome Jackson, fisherman of Boscobel;

• 65-year-old Errol Watson of Highgate, also in St Mary; and

• 60-year-old Rosemarie Addison, a cleaning attendant of Highgate.

They are scheduled to appear before the St Mary Parish Court on Thursday, February 15.
