Falmouth United are TFA President's Cup KO champs

BOUNTY HALL, Trelawny — Falmouth United won the Trelawny Football Association's President's Cup Knock-out last week beating Duanvale FC 8-0 in the final played on the grounds of the Bounty Hall Community Centre.

Charles Grant scored a hat-trick in the first-half, while Antonio Roberts and Ramaine Lewis both got two goals each in the rout by the Jamaica Football Federation Western Confederation Super League campaigners.

Duanvale FC played the final 19 minutes of the game with 10 players after Chevaughn Barnett was sent off after getting his second caution of the game.

Grant scored in the 12th, 31st and 40th minutes; Roberts scored in the 15th and 33rd minutes; Lewis scored in the 47th and 58th minutes; and Ricardo James scored in the 75th minute.

Both Falmouth United and Dunavale FC entered the competition at the semi-final stage with 2-0 wins over Coopers Pen FC and Friendship FC respectively.

In the first round Coopers Pen beat Jackson Town 1-0, while Friendship FC beat Prospect Links 3-0 to qualify for the semi-finals.
