Olympian Yohan Blake (centre) takes a selfie with Grade 3 students at the Mount Alvernia Preparatory School in Montego Bay, during a recent visit to the institution.
During the visit, the international track star highlighted the importance of participating in sporting activities and staying active.
He explained to the students how sports can positively impact their academics and relayed his experience as one of Jamaica's most talented track stars. He also had good rapport with the young ones and fielded several questions from them. After the presentation Blake took time out to visit with the students and teachers in each classroom.
Blake's visit to the educational institution forms part of the school's programme--- in collaboration with the Parent Teachers'Association --- to get more students involved in extra-curricular sporting activities.
