Pier 1, one of Montego Bay's well-known eatery and entertainment spot, which was recently awarded the Mayor's Special award for commerce, entertainment and eatery, is celebrating 30 years of existence this year. The celebrations climaxed on Tuesday night when Pier 1 rolled out the red carpet for a wide cross section of dignitaries from across the island. The event featured sumptuous meals, a live band and copious amounts of beverages. Here, (from left) Cheddi Van Creighton, manager, Jamaica Observer, Western Region; businessman and Urban Development Corporation board member Winston Dear; Robert Russell, Pier I director; Josef Bogdanovich, chairman of Summerfest Promotions; Knutsford Express CEO Gordon Townsend; commanding officer for St James, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth; and Mayor of Montego Bay Homer Davis get together for an exclusive Jamaica Observer West photo.
