The event is part of an overall push by the blood bank to ramp up donations through targeted partnerships with sundry institutions. The drive was sponsored by The Best Dressed Chicken under its Reggae Jammin Chicken Frankfurters line. Witnessing the occasion is Odean Black, blood donor organiser at the transfusion service.
