Over 1,000 volunteers participated in International Coastal Clean up Day activities at 10 locations across Montego Bay on Saturday, September 16, collecting 7,471
pounds of garbage. Among the sites cleaned by the students and organisations — including the Sandals Foundations, Jamaica Public Service Foundation, Rotary Club of
Montego Bay, Montego Bay Marine Park, Spanish Jamaica Foundation, Digicel Foundation, Scotiabank, Rainforest Seafoods, National Commercial Bank, and Wisynco
— were the popular Dump Up Beach, Fisherman's Beach, Freeport main road, Old Hospital Park and Dead End Beach. Here, the team of volunteers from the Sandals
Foundation in St James celebrates their efforts at the Dump Up Beach in Montego Bay after the day's activities. (Photo: Philp Lemonte)
