NEGRIL, Westmoreland — Mayhem Soaka Playground is expected to drench an already wet Kool Runnings Water Park in Negril on Sunday, May 20.

Now in its seventh year the highly anticipated watermark on the calendar out west pulls in fun-loving patrons from all over western Jamaica with its water antics.

Originally set on the beach, the event has grown over the years, but has retained its beach-romp feel that is now coupled with the added bonus of a waterpark experience.

“Our aim has always been to engage our patrons more and to create the best party experience for them,” said D'Jordon Garwood, a member of the promotional team.

“We are going to bring in all of the fun beach play, such as the beach balls, sprinklers and foam, and with waterslides in the park, all these will combine well for a great party experience. We will also throw in party favours like temporary tattoos and branded Mayhem beach balls… basically we try to give our patrons a little more than they expect.”

DJ Kentucky, Ponio, Mac, Black Kolaz and Chromatic are down to dive in the 'musical pool' and deliver the hits amid the splashing.

Gates open at 2:00 pm with MC Blazze at the helm.
