Sandals Resorts International (SRI) last week welcomed country

music fans to Sandals South Coast for the resort company's 'Story Behind the Songs' concert event.

The event featured top country music artistes Kip Moore, The James Barker Band and Lauren Alaina, who is nominated for the Country Music Association (CMA) Best New Artiste of the Year.

As part of SRI's LIV+ Events programmme, which offers vacationers unique limited-edition events, Story Behind the Songs is a concert series in partnership with Premiere Networks' nationally-syndicated Country radio programme CMT After Midnite with Cody Alan that showcases intimate acoustic performances in paradise from top music artistes.

Hosted by CMT's award-winning country radio and television personality Alan, the four-day getaway in Jamaica included live performances on the beach from Kip Moore, Alaina and James Barker Band. The acoustic shows also featured back stories of each song told first-hand by the artistes themselves, from memories on the road to the inspiration behind the songs.

In an effort to improve the lives of those in the Caribbean, proceeds from the purchase of exclusive LIV + packages to Story Behind the Songs, along with t-shirt sales and silent auctions during the week, were donated to the Sandals Foundation.
