LUCEA, Hanover - Mid-season champions Super Stars YC stayed on course for the double after topping the table, as the Hanover Football Association's Charley's JB Rum/Captain's Bakery and Grill Major League regular season came to an end earlier this week.

Super Stars YC recovered after going behind early to beat Grand Palladium 3-2 at Watson Taylor Park in Lucea and improved to an unassailable 23 points from their 10 games.

Two former champions, Sandy Bay and Lucea FC, are joined by first-time qualifiers Johnson Town in the semi-finals, set to start this weekend.

Sandy Bay finished second with 20 points, followed by Johnson Town on 18 and Lucea FC on 17 points.

Super Stars YC and Lucea FC will meet in one semi-final, while Johnson Town and Sandy Bay will meet in the other to decide the finalists.

On Saturday, Davian Smith sent Grand Palladium into the lead as early as the second minute against Super Stars, but Leon Moncrieffe equalised in the 40th minute as they ended the first half tied at 1-1.

Roydel Moncrieffe gave Super Stars YC the lead in the 55th minute and O'Carey Donaldson added a third in the 70th minute.

Damington Dohman made things interesting when he pulled one back for Grand Palladium in the 82nd minute.
