MONTEGO BAY, St James — Buzz is already generating on the ground for the fourth annual staging of Tight Lines 'Marlin Boat Raft-Up and Beach Party,' scheduled for the iconic Doctor's Cave Beach Club in Montego Bay on September 30.

The highly anticipated party has built up a strong following among western Jamaica's party fans and is luring several others from all over Jamaica. The party is part of the culmination of the Annual Montego Bay Yacht Club International Marlin Tournament, currently in its 56th year.

This historic event has attracted several participants, not only from Jamaica, but also North America, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean, and has in the past seen performances from Beenie Man and Maja Hype.

“This year we are seeing a significant increase in the number of participants and the size of the boats; this will make the beach party even more fun. Floats will be a feature for this year as we are encouraging persons to really take advantage of the beach vibe, plus a bar will be in the water. So, from a production standpoint, we are really going big,” said Andre “PNut” Brown, a member of the organising committee.

Popular Montego Bay-based DJ Crazy Neil, party favourites Chromatic and Third Dimension's Kamal Bankay are lining up to bring the party energy on what is expected to be a bumper crowd.

“We have added some exciting features to this year's staging and we are looking to add more. we want patrons to leave with an awesome party experience. We have made the event food and drink inclusive, and we are hearing talks of some celebrities really wanting to come and party with us,” Brown added.

Pre-sold tickets are now available in Montego Bay at Fontana Pharmacy, Pier 1 and Montego Bay Yacht Club. Ticket prices are $4,000 for men and $3,000 for women, while tickets at the gate will go for $6,000.
