MONTEGO BAY, St James — Partygoers in the resort city of Montego Bay preparing for New Year's Eve parties have their pick of top entertainment spots to choose from, with many entities offering all-inclusive events, party favours plus other innovative offerings to ring in the New Year.

The well-known party spot Pier One, is lining up their latest edition of Twist, with this year's theme, being Hollywood. Twist Hollywood comes in at $7,000 pre-sold and $8,000 at the gate, and features all-inclusive food and drink, three DJs, fireworks and party favours.

Pier One also offers Twist Silver, a drink-inclusive offer with Appleton, Skyy Vodka, Campari, Wray Rum and party favours for $3,000. Tickets are available at the gate. Gates open at 9:00 pm.

Hard Rock Café Montego Bay is set to serve up Night Fall at the Oasis, featuring both live music and two DJs.

The Jam Vibes Band will play inside until midnight, while two deejays are to handle duties outside throughout the night. The event is also food and drink inclusive with champagne and fireworks at midnight. Tickets are going for $7,000 pre-sold and $8,000 at the gate. The event is scheduled to run from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am.

Island Entertainment Brands' Margaritaville Montego Bay and Blue Beat Ultra Lounge are also offering a Hollywood Red Carpet theme for their New Year's Eve party. Margaritaville is going to have four party areas, with music by DJs Jigga, Blu and Rusti. Blue Beat comes in at $4,000 pre-sold and $5,000 at the gate. This includes admission to Margaritaville, bar and food by chef Cecil Jagdeth.

VIP booths and bottle service are available as well. Gates open at 10:00 pm and tickets for Margaritaville are available at the gate for $1,500 for singles and couples at $2,500.

Over at Grand-A-View Restaurant & Event Place for a US$100 price tag you can get live entertainment, DJ Kool, Krazy Kris, exotic foods, party favours and fireworks.

Moving further west to Negril where the Ultra Violet 10 'New Year's Eve Glow' is happening at Wavz Beach. It is billed as a premiere New Year's Eve soiree with music by Illusion Sound, ZJ Ice, DJ Jashie and hosting duties by MC Blazze. The VIP package includes premium beverages, champagne at midnight, hors d' oeuvres, glow accessories and party favours.

Tickets are available for $1,500 pre-sold for regular admission and $4,000 pre-sold for VIP access.

Also happening in Negril is NYE Jamboree, which is set to unfold at the Jungle Nightclub. DJs Kentucky, Macky & Gemini and Smoke Infinity are on the bill to handle music. VIP lounge offerings include food and drink for $4,000 and pre-sold tickets are $1,000, and $1,500 at the venue. Gates open 8:00 pm.
