Honours  — Steele qualified for his first Olympics after finishing fifth in the men’s 400m at the national trials. He was fifth in the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing but two years later did not make it past the semi-finals of the World Indoor Championships in Valencia, Spain. In 2010 Steele advanced to the semi-finals of the 400m at the World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar.
