Honours — A mainstay of Jamaican middle-distance running, Hinds had her best performance for Jamaica when she finished fourth in her pet event at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. This also proved her most impressive performance in an international championship. Hinds has competed in events from the 800m, 1500m, to the flat 3000m. She won the national championships beating long-time rival and training partner Mardrea Hyman.
