Honours — Walker won a gold medal at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009. At Daegu in 2011 she won a silver medal in her pet event. In 2002 Walker was a silver medallist at the World Junior Championships in Kingston. She also won a silver medal in the 200m at the World Youth Championships in 1999.

Olympic Dossier — Walker won Jamaica’s second gold medal in the 400m hurdles, after Deon Hemmings, when she claimed gold in Beijing 2008 with an Olympic record 52.64 seconds.
