Honours — Bolt has been winning accolades since his youth when he took numerous titles at Carifta Championships in the Caribbean. He holds the World Junior 200m record (19.93) set in Bermuda in 2004. He also won the IAAF World Junior 200m title in Kingston 2002 and the World Youth Title in Sherbrooke, Canada in 2003. He was named IAAF Sportsman of the year in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
Olympic Dossier — Bolt participated in his first Olympic Games in Athens 2004 where he failed to live up to expectation finishing fifth in the 200m heats. After coming under the tutelage of renowned coach Glen Mills in late 2006, the lanky Bolt came into his own in 2008. In that year Bolt won the Olympic 200m and 100m titles in world record times and was a member of Jamaica’s 4x100m world record relay team.
