    Stewart...I am not disappointed.

LONDON, England- Despite failing to make it to the finals of the women’s Olympic Games 100m final here at Olympic Stadium tonight, Jamaica's Kerron Stewart says she is not disappointed.

Stewart ran 11.0 seconds in her semi-final heat to finish an agonising ninth overall just missing the final by three hundredths of a second off the 11.01 second done by Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast to grab the final spot.

She has battled injuries the last two years and qualified for her second consecutive Olympic team after placing third at the JAAA/Supreme Ventures National Trials in June and came into the Games ranked number seven in the world with a season best 10.94 seconds that she ran in Kingston.

"I am not disappointed," she told a reporter, "The fact that I made it here against all odds, there were so many times I wanted to walk away from this sport because so much had happened but I kept the faith and I kept going so nothing in life is ever a disappointment."

The silver medalist in Beijing when she tied team mate Sherone Simpson behind Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce, Stewart said "I am here at the Olympics, you know how many people are watching and can't run, it is never a disappointment, never."
