Lucea Hospital gets donation of 18 beds

LUCEA, Hanover—The Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover, was Thursday morning presented with 18 beds by representatives of the Negril International Hospital (NIH).

The NIH is a project with the aim of constructing a state-of-the-art health care facility in Negril over the next two years.

Chairman of the NIH, Winston Wellington, made the presentation to representatives of the Hanover Health Services.

He said that his group recently donated 25 beds to the Savanna-la-Mar General Public Hospital in Westmoreland last month.

Meanwhile, Dawn Harvey, parish manager of the Hanover Health Services told the Jamaica Observer that the beds will go a far way “adding to the comfort” of the patients at the hospital.

The 38 bed-Noel Holmes hospital, a Type C facility, is located mid-way the resort areas of Montego Bay, St James and Negril.
