Salt Spring gets Peace and Justice Centre

Member of Parliament for Central St James Lloyd B Smith (left) is being assisted by Yvonne Scott-Hurge, secretary of the Salt Spring Baptist Church (second left) to cut the ribbon to officially declare open the Salt Spring Peace and Justice Centre.
Sharing the moment are Simeon Robinson, Programme Manager for Citizen Security and Justice programme (CSJP), (back, left) and President of the Jamaica Baptist Union, Luke Shaw.
The centre which is located in one of St James' volatile community was opened on Thursday. It will offer counselling and provide group training in mediation and peer counselling as well as peace-building forums along with conflict resolution and anger management sessions.
