MANY Jamaicans, particularly school children, were among the Jamaica Day celebrants on February 28. It provided an opportunity for people to show off the national colours of black, green and gold and embrace their "Jamaicanness".

Observer photographers captured Jamaica Day images at Yabnel Care Centre and Woodlawn School of Special Education, both in Manchester, as well as Santa Cruz Primary and Junior High and St Albans Primary, St Elizabeth.
