Spain has given birth not only to the revolutionary design movements of Cubism and Surrealism, but also to some of history's most influential designers and artists — Cristóbal Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne, Antoni Gaudi, Paloma Picasso, and of course Salvador Dalí. A trademark of Spanish design has always been innovation. That spirit is what has taken Porcelanosa from a small manufacturer of ceramic tiles to a leader in the design industry. Porcelanosa has operations in 143 countries, including Jamaica. Where can one obtain Porcelanosa products locally, you ask? Well, Tile City, of course!

On Thursday, Tile City officially launched its partnership with the Spanish manufacturer with a delightful soirée in the gardens at the Jamaica Pegasus. Tile City manager Jaleel Handal Jr was excited to share news of the partnership and introduce yet another range of internationally acclaimed luxury design products to the local market. Representing Porcelanosa at the event were Head of Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean Ramon Felis and Regional Manager for the Caribbean Camila Laguado.

Today, Porcelanosa is a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of tile, kitchen, and bath products. The company's product lines include ceramic, porcelain fittings, wall and floor tiles, hardwood, natural stone, kitchens and bathrooms, hydro massage cabins, and various accessories. Guests at Thursday evening's event had the opportunity to see some of Porcelanosa's famed tiles up close. Not only were they incorporated within the event's décor, but there were also large showroom samples, and the coasters used were cut from ceramic tiles. Talk about multiple touch points!

In addition to being innovative (it has ceramic parquet flooring that has the elegance of natural wood and some of the colours of its KRION™ Solid Surface are guaranteed to last 20 years) the company is focused on sustainability. Conservation of the environment is a significant focus for the company and for the past 30 years, it has implemented improvements to its production systems, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.

Congrats to Tile City for another partnership that will undoubtedly add more elegance to our lives!
