On the evening of Thursday, November 8 the Jamaican chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Jamaica) in association with Jamaica Broilers Group Limited hosted the annual Business and Civic Leadership Awards for Excellence. The awards celebrate “businesses, individuals and non-profit organisations that are driving and achieving economic and social progress in Jamaica through ethical leadership, stewardship, and community-building activities”.

Guests, dressed in “Hollywood glam”, filled the Grande Jamaica Suite at the Jamaica Pegasus. The red carpet (yes, there was one) was a scene! At moments it felt like the Academy Awards — as the well-dressed notable personalities filed into the event, a throng of flashing lenses welcomed them. The AMCHAM Business and Civic Leadership Awards for Excellence had top-notch production, well-heeled attendees and highlighted “those who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement”. Saturday Socia l has highlights.
