In Honour Of Donette

On Friday, November 2 Donette Chin-Loy Chang was conferred with an honorary degree of doctor of laws from The University of the West Indies for her philanthropic work. Called “a do-gooder extraordinaire”, Chin-Loy Chang has been the force behind The University of the West Indies gala in Toronto that has raised upwards of CAD $1.5M for scholarships.

Later that evening, leaders from The University of the West Indies leaders, government officials, diplomats and friends from Jamaica, Toronto and the United States gathered at the residence of the Canadian high commissioner to Jamaica to celebrate the work of the extremely humble Chin-Loy Chang.
