Konshens, wife part ways?BY KEDIESHA PERRY
For the second time within three months, dancehall deejay Konshens and his wife, Latoya Spence nee Wright, have parted ways.
On Wednesday, the entertainer — whose given name is Garfield Spence — took to Instagram to publicly set the record straight about his marriage of two years.
“You will wake up and grow up when she already gone. All she did was bring me the greatest happiness; only rivalled by mi kids births — stick by me no matter what and who going against me…” the caption started.
He continued by citing that he has been going through extreme emotional problems since his brother and dancehall deejay, Delus, committed suicide in June 2016.
“Stop me from kill myself countless times after mi bredda drop out an' mi get f***ing unstable; an' counsel me when the world a come down pan mi. Put up with countless f**kery and handle it with class and maintain respect and protect me image,” penned the deejay.
According to police reports, Delus (given name Demark Spence) shot himself in the head at his home in Havendale, St Andrew.
“Jus' like how we nuh grow fi talk bout feelings an' mi did affi lose mi bredda fi know seh man have feelings; same suh mi grow as a womaniser and big likkle bwoy weh feel like money inna pocket is all…,” the 34-year-old went on.
Konshens and his long-time girlfriend, Wright, who is also the mother of his son, tied the knot on November 19, 2017 in Florida at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot Harbour Beach Resort and Spa. On August 30, it was Wright who broke the news of their first separation via Instagram. Days later, Konshens confirmed the split by posting a picture of them with the caption, “At least I can say I knew true unfiltered, unedited, love with no ulterior motive. Love you always Latts”.
However, approximately two weeks later, the two posted cosy pictures together; acknowledging that they were back together. They even marked their second-year anniversary just two weeks ago.
It seems the split is permanent this time, as the deejay issued a final apology to Wright; reassuring her that she will always have his support.
“Thank you very much for the best years of my life. Sorry me f**k up. Ago fix miself as a person, and fix mi head to. And no matter where you go in life, I'm going to be a call away, watching and hoping you find real happiness wid someone deserving...I will be ready and waiting if you ever call,” Konshens wrote.
