'Youngster' Goldsmith's funeral Sunday

Thursday, January 10, 2013

A service of thanksgiving for the life of former physical trainer of Kingston College, William 'Youngster' Goldsmith, will be held on Sunday at St Augustine's Chapel, North Street, beginning at 1 o'clock.

The funeral service was originally set for tomorrow, but organisers made a late change to Sunday.

Goldsmith, popularly known as 'Mr G', was one of the architects of KC's athletics and football programme, starting in 1962 when he joined the staff, having attended the institution as a student.

A former national weightlifter, Goldsmith assisted with the physical preparation of other athletes who did not attend KC.
