50 for run/walk challenge

ROSE HALL, St James — Over 50 participants are confirmed for this morning's first staging of the Corporate 5k/10k Walk/Run Challenge that will get the Jamaica Triathlon weekend off and running.
Three school teams from Newell High, Godfrey Stewart High and Lacovia High are among the participants in the event that is the first in a series of events that will end with the staging of the triathlon and duathlon at IberoStar Resort tomorrow morning.
The Fontana Pharmacy Kids triathlon is scheduled for this afternoon, starting at 4:00 pm, while the triathlon to be contested over the international or Olympic distance, is set to get underway, starting at 7:00 am tomorrow.
So far almost 70 participants are entered for the event, organisers told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
