HARBOUR View and Savannah SC clash in a match in which two teams are fighting for two different reasons.
It's a tale of two teams in different cities. One from the east and the other from Jamaica's most western end.
One is fighting to win the premier league while the other is fighting to survive.
The seasoned Harbour View, or Stars of the East as they are more popularly known, lead the Red Stripe Premier League by 10 points having raced to 48 points from 23 games.
The promoted Savannah, from an area known as Burnt Savannah in Westmoreland, are struggling at the bottom of the league on 16 points from their 23 games and are 10 points below the safety line.
A whopping 32 points separate both teams but come today, that counts for nothing as Savannah have been showing marked improvement of late.
In their first meeting Savannah clipped Harbour View 1-0 at Frome but in the return fixture at the Compound, Harbour View ran out easy 7-0 winners.
Savannah are on the improve and are unbeaten in their last three games after losing 16 consecutive games on the trot. With that in mind, they could create another upset over their more storied rivals.
But Harbour View are a well-oiled machine right now and it will take an Herculean task from Savannah to deny them maximum points.
Meanwhile second-placed and champions Portmore United on 38 points, cannot afford any slip-ups against a Cavalier outfit in sixth spot on 34 points.
The David Lalor-coached Cavalier have beaten Portmore United 2-1 twice this season and should feel confident of securing yet another win, especially playing at home.
Third-placed Boys' Town on 37 points have reignited their season with two consecutive wins but will have to work hard for the third against a tough Waterhouse team in seventh spot on 33 points.
Fifth-placed Montego Bay United with 34 points host former champions Tivoli Gardens down in ninth spot on 28 points at Catherine Hall in another intriguing match-up which can go both ways.
Clarendon's Sporting Central Academy on 29 points in eighth spot are highly fancied to secure three points from a Highgate United outfit struggling in 11th spot on 21 points.
In the Monday night encounter, fourth-placed Arnett Gardens on 36 points host 10th-placed Humble Lion on 27 points.
