LONDON, England — Despite setting a national record in winning her heat, Jamaica's Alia Atkinson failed to progress to the semi-finals of the 200m breast stroke this morning.
Atkinson recorded 2:28.77, erasing the old national mark of 2:29.00.
The time placed her at 27th overall.
