KINGSTON, Jamaica—World and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has been appointed Ambassador-at-large by the Government of Jamaica.
Fraser-Pryce on Wednesday made the appointment public via her Facebook page.
She posted: “Wow! Who could have predicted a little girl from the Waterhouse Community would one day become an Ambassador for her country? Thanks to the Office of The Prime Minister for bestowing on me diplomatic travel for Mr and Mrs Jason Pryce for life:) #Hiswill #Godisgood #jamaicahouse #jamaicanandproud#pryceless.”
Fraser-Pryce has since received numerous well wishes and congratulations from fans worldwide.
