THE hearing into Asafa Powell's positive drug test resumes today at the Jamaica Conference Centre downtown Kingston.

Former 100m world record holder Powell is facing the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission's (JADCO) disciplinary panel following a positive test for the banned stimulant Oxilofrine at the National Trials last June.

The hearing started in January.

Powell earlier blamed the positive test on a new brand of nutritional supplements given to him by physical trainer, Canadian Chris Xuereb.

Powell's training partner, sprinter Sherone Simpson also tested positive for the same substance and is facing a separate hearing.
