Asafa honoured by Italian city of Lignano

BIRMINGHAM, England —; On Tuesday Asafa Powell was honoured by the Italian city of Lignano where the MVP has had their European training base for a number of years.
Photos published in the media and on social media networks shows national double sprint champion Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce as part of the group.
Four members of the Olympic team triple jumper Kimberly Williams, 400m hurdler Melaine Walker, sprinter Kerron Stewart and sprint hurdler Andrew Riley are scheduled to compete at an IAAF Diamond League meeting in Monaco later today and then are expected to join the camp.
In an interview at the Jamaica Observer a few weeks ago, Technical Leader Donald Quarrie had said the camp was mandatory for all athletes.
