Beware, Cedric Titus in revenge mode
Monday, October 01, 2012
DRAX HALL, St Ann — Zone I leaders Cedric Titus will seek to avenge a first-round loss to Ocho Rios when they meet in a rescheduled game at Drax Hall this afternoon.
All three games that were scheduled to be played in Zone I on Saturday were postponed until today out of respect for the funeral service of former Marcus Garvey High coach Rohan Alexander who was killed in a motor vehicle crash last month.
York Castle will hoist last-placed Albert Town in one game, while Brown's Town will welcome Marcus Garvey in another.
Cedric Titus had lost 1-2 at home to Ocho Rios in their opening game, but since then have won three of their four, drawing the other one to lead with 10 points.
Ocho Rios on the other hand have struggled, managing only one other win since then, drawing two more to be in fourth place, which puts them two points behind in a closely bunched group.
Marcus Garvey also shook off an opening loss to Brown's Town to work their way to second in the zone on nine points and will get an opportunity today to avenge that beating when they face their nemesis at Addison Park.
York Castle should be able to beat a win-less Albert Town for a second time this season after a 4-1 first-round victory.
Albert Town are one of four teams yet to gain a point, scoring one goal while conceding 11 so far.
